Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Carter Powley and The Chop Shop are renowned for their vibrant jazz fusion, seamlessly integrating elements of funk, soul, and R&B. Led by saxophonist Carter Powley, the ensemble features Philippe Bouchard on guitar, Danny Jones on bass, and Brent Jefferson on drums. Powley, an alumnus of the University of Regina with degrees in music composition and education, has performed alongside notable artists such as P.J. Perry, Jack Semple, and Michael Kaeshammer. The Chop Shop has graced various venues and festivals, including the Regina Farmers’ Market and The Lancaster Taphouse, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances.
